Semi-Free-Fighting
3 Steps
Attacker: After stepping back to left hand Hah Dan Mahkee, attacker punches with right hand, then left hand and finally right hand to upper lip; all in a Front Stance. (Left, right, left punching will be required soon afterwards.)
Defender: Will always retreat in a Back Stance and will always block with Ahnesu Pahkoo Ro Choong Dan Mahkee or Pahkesu Ahnoo Ro Choong Dan Mahkee. Other blocking options will be available in higher ranks.
3 Steps Set 1 (hands)
1. Begin with Left hand block. Counter with Left hand in-to-out block (open hand), while side stepping right, simultaneous soo do strike to neck with right hand. (horse ride stance)
2. Begin with Left hand block. Counter with Left hand in-to-out block (open hand), while side stepping right, simultaneous punch to solar plexus with right hand. (horse ride stance)
3. Begin with Right hand block. Counter with Left hand out-to-in block (open hand optional), while side stepping left. Right forearm strike to ribs. (front stance w/right foot behind opponent's right foot)
4. Begin with Right hand block. Counter with Right hand out-to-in block, while stepping back w/left foot, backfist to face with right hand after block. (back stance)
5. Begin with Right hand block. Counter with Left hand out-to-in block, while stepping left, right punch to ribs, left punch to head. (horse ride stance)
3 Steps Set 1 (kicks)
1. Begin with Left hand block. Side step w/right foot, front snap kick with left foot to solar plexus.
2. Begin with Right hand block. Side step left, side thrust kick with right foot to arm pit or ribs.
3. Begin with Right hand block. Side step left, round kick with right foot to solar plexus.
4. Begin with Right hand block. Step back w/left foot to a back stance, reverse kick with left foot to solar plexus.
3 Steps Set 2
1. Begin with Left hand block. Side step w/right foot, front snap kick with left foot to solar plexus, right palm heel to face. (front stance)
2. Begin with Right hand block. Side step left, side thrust kick with right foot to arm pit or ribs, left reverse punch to head. (front stance)
3. Begin with Right hand block. Side step left, round kick with right foot to solar plexus, left reverse punch to ribs. (back stance)
4. Begin with Right hand block. Step back w/left foot to a back stance, reverse kick with left foot to solar plexus, left back fist to face. (back stance)
5. Begin with Right hand block. Right hand in-to-out block while side stepping left, striking ribs with right knee, left forearm strike to head; maintain a hold on opponent's lead arm for possible elbow break. (front stance)
1 Steps
For both Set 1 and Set 2, attacker only punches once. Defender must immediately counter-attack with the same techniques as in 3 Steps. Again, student must be able to perform these movements to both sides.
